The Maidstone School, is an important representation of Buddhist education to aid children from early on in life to undertake a well rounded education to not develop them into professionally but also spiritually. Conceptually, it is part of three buildings (School, Cultural Centre and Meditation Centre) which plays on the core notions of the journey towards enlightenment in Buddhism culminating at the existing Temple space.
The School has a similar design language to the other buildings of the complex in using recycled and sustainable timbers. It also uses a powdercoated aluminium screen, combined with vegetation, to provide shade to the spaces and bring a sense of playfulness and natural characteristics.
